Brazilian steakhouse brand seeks staff for its new Edinburgh operation

South American style ‘churrasco’ dining chain Rio is about to open its first ever Brazilian Steakhouse restaurant north of the border, and is actively seeking ‘hospitality stars’ to staff the operation.

Promising a ‘feast of employment opportunities’ at the new site, in Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms in a space formerly occupied by a Jamie’s Italian, the Rio team is inviting potential applicants to an employment open day on 9th January.

It is expected the Edinburgh Rio Steakhouse will provide 60 employment opportunities, including an assistant manager and head chef, and roles front of house and behind the bar.

Applicants visiting the new location on 9th January will be able to speak with Rio Steakhouse co-founder Rodrigo Grassi and operations manager Fawira Lira, in an informal interview setting, answering questions about employment at Rio and sharing more information about the restaurant and opportunities available.

The Assembly Rooms are at 54 George St, EH2 2LR, and the open event will run from 9:30am – 6:30pm on Tuesday 9th January.
