Sky has secured the broadcast rights to show a record number of Premier League fixtures, with up to 100 more matches each season up til the end of this decade.
Under a new four-year deal, Sky Sports’ exclusive live coverage will increase by 70% from the start of the 2025/26 season.
Having been awarded four packages, the maximum allowed for any one broadcaster, Sky will now host live broadcasts of over 80% of Premier League matches, and customers can expect at least four live games every week.
Sky Business hospitality managing director, Damian Saunders, said: “There’s nothing quite like live sport when it comes to bringing people together, and this announcement is a fantastic result for our customers. Pubs and clubs with Sky will now be able to show 80% of live Premier League broadcast matches in their venues from the start of the 2025/26 season.
“This is a significant increase in the number of Premier League matches available, bringing certainty to their business, and giving their customers the games they love until the end of decade.”
More specifically for Scotland, Sky will be showing an increased number of Scottish Professional Football League matches through to 2029, plus matches from the Scottish Women’s Premier League.
Other sports coverage will continue alongside this enhanced football offer, including Formula 1, with Sky screening every practice, qualifying and race until the end of 2029; golf , with all four men’s Majors, all five women’s Majors, The Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup and both men’s and women’s Tours across multi-year terms; year-round tennis from both the ATP and WTA Tours for the next five years, plus the US Open until 2028; and Rugby League, with every Betfred Super League match live for the first time from 2024 – 2026, including all three Grand Finals – Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair, plus international rugby union including 2025 British & Irish Lions Tour of Australia.
