Olympic Curlers come to the Crieff Hydro to celebrate gold medal win

TEAM GB’s gold medal winning curling squad celebrated their recent success at an Olympic banner ceremony in Perthshire’s Crieff Hydro.

Skip Eve Muirhead, Vicky Wright, Jennifer Dodds, Hailey Duff and Mili Smith – who won gold at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics – were presented with an official champions’ banner by former Scottish Curling president Susan Wyllie during a private ceremony at the hotel at the start of this month.

Eve said: “It feels great to finally get our hands on our Olympic banner. It’s been over a year since we won the gold medal, but we never get tired of celebrating!

“It was very special to have all our close friends and family, as well as our support staff, with us to celebrate during a brilliant evening at Crieff Hydro.”

Ms Wyllie added: “I’m so honoured to have presented Team Muirhead with their official Olympic champions’ banner.

“They have created a phenomenal legacy, and I’m incredibly proud of each and every one of them.”

Stephen Leckie, CEO and chairman of Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels, said: “We were delighted to welcome Britain’s most successful curlers to Crieff to celebrate their Olympic success.

“We wish them all the best for their future endeavours and can’t wait to show our support for our next generation of champion curlers.”
