Inverarity Morton’s Evolution show wows in Glasgow

Glasgow’s Platform venue sprang into life last month when wholesaler Inverarity Morton hosted its Evolution 2023 event.

The annual show this year welcomed more than a thousand hospitality professionals, giving venue owners and staff from across Scotland the chance to sample new products and serves as well as meet up with contemporaries from around the industry.

This year Inverarity split the venue into different ‘zones’, each themed around a different drinks category.

Visitors were able to sample a range of whiskies from brands including Highland Park and Loch Lomond in the event’s Around the Barrel zone, before moving to the Agave Collection area to catch up on the latest developments in tequila. Names present included Patron, Casamigos, and El Jimador.

Mix it Up was dedicated to cocktails, with brands including Marie Brizard and Bacardi creating fresh drinks, while Whitebox and Funkin demonstrated the quality available in pre-mixed and canned drinks.

The Garden was the biggest area at the show, a grassy knoll dedicated to a wide range of brands including gins 1881, Glaswegin and Arbikie, with Scottish giant Hendrick’s hosting its own gin garden.

Peroni encouraged visitors to take a relaxing boat trip, while Madri allowed attendees to capture their memories and take them home via a 360 digital photo booth.

The company said the annual Evolution event ‘demonstrates the passion, enthusiasm and vision that adeptly encapsulates and celebrates the Scottish drinks and hospitality industry’.
