Burnt Faith sets out to redefine brandy in the UK

British brandy house Burnt Faith has partnered with premium drinks distributor Proof Drinks to drive interest in the new world brandy category.

Proof has already secured flagship listings in both the UK on and off trade, including a nationwide listing with Harvey Nichols, national retail distribution through The Whisky Exchange and on premise listings from several top London venues.

CEO & founder of Burnt Faith, Simon Wright, said: “We’re proud to be a British brandy house and have huge ambition, so it was crucial to have a partner that understands the premium spirits market and has a national footprint across the length and breadth of the British Isles and not just in London.

“The Proof team has extraordinary experience working with premium brands and have already brought some incredible results to the table and demonstrated the inherent interest in our new approach to the category.”

Burnt Faith espouses a ‘brandy without boundaries’, unconstrained by Cognac conventions and regulations, as demonstrated in Batch 001, Burnt Faith’s first release, which used a combination of four different grape varieties and four different wood casks.

Proof Drinks MD John Vider added: “We are helping Burnt Faith build a new world brandy category here in the UK and to deliver a premium drinking experience. There has been a very positive response from customers to Burnt Faith’s innovation.”

Burnt Faith Brandy is said to be ‘as mixable as a good rum and as sippable as a fine whisky’, designed to appeal to both existing brandy drinkers and those interested by novel premium new world spirits offerings.
