Buzzworks Holdings has announced the reopening of its dog-friendly summer hotspot, Outboard, which sits alongside its Scotts Bar & Restaurant at Port Edgar Marina, South Queensferry.
Complete with a doggy food menu, Outboard was a big hit when it launched in July last year, but this year it returns with an even stronger offer, not least a new drinks licence allowing it to serve thirsty ‘pup parents’ a wide selection of cocktails, wine, and beer throughout the summer.
General manager at Scotts, Andressa Garcia, said: “We’re very excited to once again welcome guests to our much-loved Outboard by Scotts venue at Port Edgar Marina.
“Our team has put in tremendous effort to bring a diverse selection of new amenities, including a selection of beverages that perfectly complement our exceptional dining experience.
“Alongside a fantastic menu and drinks offering for customers there will be plenty of choice for four-legged friends visiting Outboard too, and we are excited to offer a range of amenities to make their experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.”
Outboard’s doggie-dining offer includes biscuits, sausages, sweet treats – including Jude’s ice cream for dogs – and ‘puppuccinos’.
With an eye to social media – and the venue’s picturesque views out to the Forth’s Three Bridges – guests will be encouraged to share snaps of their pets with the hashtag #DogsofBuzzworks, tagging Outboard’s Instagram account, @outboard_southqueensferry.
Andressa added: “With our delicious doggy food menu and stunning backdrop, we hope to provide a unique and memorable experience for both pets and their owners.”
Since opening last summer, the venue itself has been given some ‘additional TLC’, with extended outdoor seating added for alfresco dining.
The extensive menu available to humans in these laid-back surroundings, every Wednesday to Sunday from 9am, features everything from breakfast rolls and traybakes, milkshakes, and iced coffees, to traditional fish & chips, tempura, and lighter bowls, alongside weekly specials created by Buzzworks’ team of chefs.
“So, whether you’re looking for an al fresco breakfast with spectacular views at our fully covered outdoor area, a tipple with your pet, or some lunch and cocktails with friends – there are plenty of delicious options for guests and visitors alike to look forward to this summer,” said Andressa.
