Tropical cocktails are the name of the game for French liqueur company Giffard this summer.
The company is promoting three of its products – Caribbean Pineapple, Crème de Fruit de la Passion and Banane du Bresil – for use in summer cocktails.
The company’s Caribbean Pineapple liqueur – produced by macerating sun-ripened pineapples in alcohol for up to six weeks before adding clove, nutmeg and seven year-old rum – is being promoted for inclusion in daiquiris, while the Crème de Fruit de la Passion, a passion fruit liqueur that’s described as having flavours of mandarin, orange, mango and guava, is said to be ideal for a pisco sour.
The Banane du Bresil liqueur is produced using Brazilian bananas which are macerated in spirit and then blended with Cognac ‘for added body and depth’.
The liqueur is promoted either for drinking over ice or for including in a Martini.
Giffard said the three products are designed to evoke ‘sun-kissed skin, ocean breezes, and endless nights of entertainment’.
