Glen Montgomery, sommelier, and co-owner of Edinburgh fine dining restaurant eòrna, has made his debut in Harper’s Top 25 Sommeliers 2023.
This prestigious list from the country’s leading wine trade oracle recognises the best sommeliers in the UK and Ireland, wherein Montgomery was placed 20th, having been handpicked from 100 leading sommeliers.
Glen honed his skills at some of Scotland’s finest restaurants, such as Number One at The Balmoral and Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles Hotel. Since the opening of eòrna in May 2023, he has curated the restaurant’s wine list and built a strong reputation, not only for his exceptional wine knowledge but also his impeccable service.
Glen commented: “I am absolutely thrilled to have made it to the top 25 Sommeliers list, it truly is an honour to be recognised alongside some of the best in the industry.
