WHISKY fans are being offered several opportunities to ‘take a deep dive’ into the modern world of spirits and live music by attending one of the 2023/24 schedule of Scottish National Whisky Festival events.
Initially created to celebrate the historical relationship that exists between whisky and Scottish music culture, this year’s festival series – which began in Inverness on July 1st – will proceed to Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow over the next six months.
Organisers are promising ‘an exceptional’ line up of exhibitors from across the drinks industry spectrum, complimented by a specially-curated bill of live music and entertainment from Scottish performers handpicked to reflect the ‘energy and identity’ of each city.
As well as whisky, festival goers will be able to enjoy an exciting range of guest spirits, including including rum, cognac, liqueurs and more; cocktails by industry-leading mixologists; brewery collaborations; food vendors and exclusive masterclasses, as well as an on-site whisky shop.
The festival will visit Aberdeen Music Hall on Saturday September 7th; Edinburgh Summerhall of Saturday December 9th; and Glasgow’s SWG3 in January 2024.
Festival co-ordinator Gareth Croll said: “Our whisky festivals are an embodiment of the whisky pioneers, personalities and groundbreaking artists who make them up in every city, so it is a delight to be heading on the road again in 2024.
“We’ve adopted a brand new look and feel for our events that I think will serve us well as we look to be growing internationally, and I look forward to bringing our unique vision to friends in every corner of Scotland – and shortly much further beyond, so keep your eyes peeled!”
