STELLA Artois invoked that most British of traditions – beer with crisps – for a recent charity campaign.
The famous beer brand – which is owned by Budweiser Brewing Group – launched limited edition crisps in the on-trade, provided to customers free when they order two pints of the Belgian lager.
Each pack contains a message in support of industry charity Hospitality Action, with a QR code linking to the charity’s website, where consumers can make a donation. Budweiser Brewing Group will match all donations up to £60,000.
“Launching exclusively in the on-trade, the only way consumers will be able to get their hands on Crisps Artois will be by purchasing two pints of Stella Artois from their local,” said Jean-David Thumelaire, the company’s on-trade sales director.
“In doing so, we hope to drive consumers back into venues, encourage them to stay longer and boost rate of sale. We’ve worked tirelessly to create a packet of crisps that perfectly complements a chalice of Stella Artois and we’re confident they will be flying off the back-bar.”
