Dakota Eurocentral has revealed two new room packages, created in partnership with Citylink, that close the gap between the hotel and Scotland’s biggest cities.
Situated alongside the M8 motorway, with Glasgow 12 miles to the west and Edinburgh 35 miles to the east, the Dakota Eurocentral has previously been at something of a marketing disadvantage to hotels within those cities’ actual boundaries.
However, with the addition of inclusive bus travel, the Dakota team now reckon they could save guests – particularly ‘gig lovers, fringe enthusiasts and airport goers’ – hundreds of pounds at peak times
Dakota’s ‘Discover Scotland’ and ‘Stay, Park, Fly’ packages both include an overnight stay in a luxury bedroom, plus a Citylink bus return ticket on the 900 or AIR service – dropping off in Edinburgh, Glasgow, or at Edinburgh Airport – for what it describes as a fraction of the cost’ of city centre hotels.
On the opening weekend of Edinburgh Fringe in August, available city centre hotels are currently selling between £275 to £675 for a one night stay. Whereas Dakota Eurocentral’s ‘Discover Scotland’ package, including an overnight stay and discounted return travel into Edinburgh, is available for £145.
For those journeying abroad this summer, Edinburgh Airport parking – with an overnight stay before the flight – is selling at £205 and £305 for a week in August. In contrast, Dakota Eurocentral is offering an overnight stay, complimentary onsite parking in Dakota’s secure, CCTV-monitored car park, and a return Citylink ticket to Edinburgh Airport for £153.
