New Heineken trade event in Edinburgh this month

HEINEKEN UK is preparing to host a series of seminars tackling a range of industry issues – from staff recruitment to reducing your business’s carbon footprint.

The company’s SmartDispense Energy Well Spent: On Location events will include a stop in Edinburgh, on 20th June.

Topics will include staff recruitment, retention and wellbeing, managing energy usage and costs, reducing carbon footprint and using technology to simplify business operations.

There will be input from a number of industry experts and spokespeople, with panel discussions around each topic.

The Edinburgh event will take place at Tynecastle Park on 20th June, between 11am and 3.30pm.

The On Location events are the latest in Heineken’s series of Energy Well Spent networking events. They included the Energy Well Spent Summit and the Debate Series.

“The success of last year’s Energy Well Spent activities showed us that there is a clear need for more conversation,” said Richard Stephens, head of SmartDispense and technical services at Heineken UK.

“We know that operating more sustainably can often come hand-in-hand with reduced costs, which is understandably at the forefront of every publican’s mind right now.

“These events have been designed to meet operators wherever they are in their sustainability journey. There is no one-size-fits-all solution but we hope that, by encouraging discussion, our events can inspire operators to find new ways to optimise their businesses, make them more sustainable and benefit from cost and operational efficiencies.”
