LATVIAN vodka brand Moskovskaya showed off its green credentials this year through a partnership with environmental organisation One Tree Planted.
The partnership saw Moskovskaya, which is owned by Amber Beverage Group, issue a limited-edition green bottle with proceeds going to One Tree Planted.
The organisation supports reforestation projects around the world and will plant a tree for every one of the 120,000 limited-edition bottles sold.
“At Amber Beverage Group we have set ourselves the goal of defining a clear roadmap towards becoming more sustainable in our production and operations,” said Amber board member Arturs Evarts, who is responsible for sustainability at the company.
“By partnering with One Tree Planted, we are enabling key projects in support of a greener planet through tree planting and improved biodiversity.
“We are proud to be taking positive action as part of our first steps towards a more sustainable future for the Moskovskaya brand.”
Matt Hill, founder of One Tree Planted, said the partnership ‘is a prime example of how spirits brands can make positive changes for our planet’.
