In one of Edinburgh’s prime spots, Ryan’s Bar has re-emerged as the West End Brasserie.
A new European-style restaurant has opened in Edinburgh’s West End, located on Hope Street at the former site of Ryan’s Bar.
The West End Brasserie – still under Ryan’s owner/operator Caledonian Heritable Ltd – is now serving continental dishes and Scottish favourites complimented by a ‘tasteful’ drinks menu, behind a refreshed exterior design with hand-painted signage and bespoke brass finishings to create a ‘timeless’ appearance.
The interior has two different settings; the Glasshouse, with an art deco feel, velvet seating, crystal chandeliers, and good views of Edinburgh Castle; and the main restaurant, incorporating warm and intimate design to create a classic ambience.
Dining options include a breakfast menu incorporating locally sourced ingredients from Scotland’s premium producers; an afternoon tea selection created by in-house pastry chefs; and an a la carte menu offering a wide variety of meals, from indulgent seafood feasts to European classics.
