DUMFRIESSHIRE distillery Ninefold has expanded and relaunched its core rum range in a new-look bespoke bottle which is designed to be both striking and sustainable.

Dr Kit Carruthers, owner and head distiller of Ninefold Distillery near Lockerbie, said the bottle has a “beautifully elegant new design” which builds on the distinctive Ninefold seraph (angel motif) and contemporary branding; it is made using “significantly less glass”, making it 35% lighter, and features a 100% natural cork stopper.

The new bottle coincides with an update to Ninefold’s core range of rums: its unaged (white) Pure Single Rum will now be bottled at 46% ABV (up from 40% ABV); and its Dormont Spiced rum will be joined by a new Cask Aged rum.
