WHYTE & Mackay has announced plans to dramatically upgrade its Dalmore Distillery in Alness with the construction of new production facilities and a new visitor centre.
The company said the plans would “retain the character of the estate, taking great care with the unique nature of the distillery and that of its famed new make spirit”.
The production facility itself will be “built to exacting sustainability standards, and transitioning the site to a green energy solution”, in line with Whyte & Mackay’s ambition to become net zero by 2040.
Threesixty Architecture and Blyth and Blyth Consulting have been appointed to head up the design side of the project, with famous Scottish stillmaker Forsyths consulting on the production aspect.
