A spirit that’s to sip, not slam

There are four spirits in the range.

THE company behind a tequila brand is using the upcoming International Tequila Day to encourage UK consumers to take a different approach to agave spirits.

A new campaign for Rooster Rojo encourages consumers to ‘sip, don’t slam’ as distributor Amber Beverage promotes the brand as a drink for “sipping and savouring” in the same way as other quality spirits such as single malt whisky.

The Rooster Rojo range comprises four tequilas: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo expressions as well as Smoked Pineapple – a blend of the Añejo tequila with an infusion of smoked Red Spanish pineapples. All four are created using a filtering process which the company claims is unique to Rooster Rojo, which involves blending the spirit with water that has been filtered through Mexican silver.  The four spirits are bottled at 38% ABV.

Amber Beverage is promoting the range for sipping as well as for use in cocktails.

International Margarita Day falls on 22nd February.
