New owner reels in Skye eatery

The New Creelers Restaurant

AN established seafood restaurant on the Isle of Skye has been leased to new operators.
The New Creelers Restaurant near Broadford has been taken on by Andrew Jones and Richard Murray, who have plans to initially serve a winter menu including brunch, snacks and cakes before expanding the offer in the course of the year. The lease for the business was advertised in the summer with an asking price of £35,000.

Alan Goldie, director of The Restaurant Agency, which handled the sale, said: “We are delighted to have sold the business on Skye over a relatively short time frame from instruction to a deal being struck, highlighting perhaps that the best time to market an island business is during the sunnier months.”
