A BAR and restaurant on the banks of Loch Fyne has changed hands in a deal brokered by Cornerstone.
The Oystercatcher in Otter Ferry on the Cowal Peninsula was described by the agent as “one of the best-located bar and restaurants in Scotland”, with views across the loch to the Kintyre Peninsula. The venue, which can accommodate 70 covers inside and a further 60 outside, was acquired for an undisclosed sum from an asking price of offers over £60,000 for the leasehold, by Steve Keene, who is relocating from the Cotswolds.
At the other side of the country, Cornerstone also handled the sale of the Red Lion Hotel in the Borders village of Earlston.
The property has a public bar, dining room, a small breakfast or function room and eight en suite letting rooms. It was acquired for an undisclosed sum from an asking price of offers over ÂŁ295,000 by new owners relocating from Fife.
Cornerstone director Barry McNeil said: “It was a real pleasure to deal with the vendor – Ritchie is an Earlston local who purchased the business nine years ago and managed to create a welcoming village hotel, trading well in all departments.”
