Manorview gives back this Christmas

Hotels groups launches its festive charity campaign

Manorview operates eight hotels, including Boclair House Hotel north of Glasgow.

MANORVIEW Hotels & Leisure Group has pledged to make families in need across west central Scotland smile a little more this Christmas through its festive charity campaign.

Launched yesterday (Thursday 3rd December), the initiative will see the multiple operator support three local charities: Achieve More Scotland, Renfrewshire Helping Those in Need and the Glasgow Basket Brigade.

Fundraising activities kicked off with Manorview asking its 450-strong team and customers to support the Glasgow Basket Brigade – an initiative which is this year asking people to join the #GlasgowHumanChainofKindness and create a ‘comfy and cosy’ basket filled with pampering treats worth no more than £15; people can drop baskets off at any Manorview venue between 11th and 17th December and the group will donate them.

Manorview’s second initiative will see its teams collect 100 selection boxes for Achieve More Scotland – an organisation it has worked with for the last four years.

Finally, the company is encouraging its customers, friends and staff to support Renfrewshire Helping Those in Need – an organisation which manages the distribution of toys and gifts for up to 250 families living in Renfrewshire who need support.

Claire Johnston, head of people at Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group, said: “This year has been extremely tough for so many including our team. But it’s more important than ever that we continue our charity efforts and support those who really need it.

“As a team we put our heads together and came up with three local charities that are working tirelessly to really make a difference this year. By collecting gifts, selection boxes and festive care packages that will be delivered direct to those in need we feel it’s a great way to spread some much-needed Christmas cheer this December.”
