THE owners of The Railway Inn in Edinburgh have restored its original name ahead of reopening this week.
Landlords Darren Love and Corinne Jones of the Railway Inn in Juniper Green, formerly the Juniper Inn, rebranded the venue and revamped its indoor and outdoor areas in preparation for reopening today (July 15).
Love, who bought the business from his uncle in 2018 with Corrine and opened the pub’s beer garden to the public on July 9, said: “When we took over the venue last year, we found that everybody knows it as The Railway Inn and still calls it this, and so do I, so it made sense to change the name back.
“Inside we have kept the traditional look and feel but freshened it up and added some memorabilia as a nod to its historic past. Outside at the front our signage is actually printed on old wooden railway sleepers and in the rear enclosed beer garden we have created socially distancing seating areas with table and chairs, picnic style benches and a 14-foot solid wooden gazebo for the good old Scottish weather.”
