Ox and Finch plates up with Itison At Home

OX and Finch is the latest Glasgow restaurant to join the Itison home dining service.

The Finnieston restaurant’s offering features seven dishes from its sharing menu – including cured sea trout, tandoor-baked hake and slow-cooked lamb shoulder – which can be pre-ordered for collection or delivery to households in the Greater Glasgow area through the Itison At Home website. A menu and instructions on how to plate the dishes are included for customers.

The announcement comes as Ka Pao restaurant – whose delivery menu was Itison At Home’s first offering after it launched in late June and shares the same owners as Ox and Finch – sold 1000 meals in three minutes.

Jonathan MacDonald, owner of Ox and Finch and Ka Pao, said: “We were blown away by the reaction to Ka Pao last week and are delighted to bring Ox and Finch on board too. It will be great to reintroduce Ox and Finch’s food to the dining public of Glasgow and give people the chance to recreate Ox and Finch dishes in their own homes.”

Oli Norman, chief executive of Itison and owner of Glasgow venues including Sloans, Brel and The Griffin, said: “The reaction to itison at home has been incredible! Scotland’s entire hospitality sector has been decimated by COVID so it was vital we innovate to survive. “We’re delighted to have the incredible Ox and Finch on board.”
