ITISON, the deals and events website, has announced it is launching a new home dining service next week.
Launching on June 25 at 9am with a menu from the Ox and Finch-owned restaurant Ka Pao, Itison At Home will offer menus from a different Glasgow restaurant each week to be collected or delivered to the Greater Glasgow area. The service’s first offering from Ka Pao – seven dishes to share for £45 – will be available for collection at the restaurant in Botanic Gardens Garage on Vinicombe Street or for delivery.
Oli Norman, founder and managing director of Itison, and who also owns Glasgow venues Sloans, Brel and The Griffin, said: “Scotland’s entire hospitality sector has been decimated by COVID, and it’s vital we all innovate to survive. Along with our partner restaurants we’re really excited to be investing in a new delivery and collection service with the best our amazing city has to offer.
“Itison was founded and flourished during the last recession. This time it’s very different with everyone being thrust into survival and start-up mode, and just as we were determined to support local businesses then, the mission has become even more critical now.
“We’re really excited to have Ka Pao on board for the launch of itison at Home. Jonathan and his team have created an incredible at home dining experience that I’ll be first in line for!”
Jonathan MacDonald, owner of Ka Pao said: “We are pleased to be partnering with itison at the beginning of their new home dining service. Our team of chefs are looking forward to returning to the kitchens, firing up the ranges at Ka Pao after an absence of over 3 months and preparing some of our most popular dishes. It will be great to reintroduce Ka Pao’s food to the dining public of Glasgow – hopefully they haven’t forgotten about us, of course! – and give people the chance to recreate Ka Pao dishes in their own homes.”
