SYRUPS producer Monin is to launch a weekly digital masterclass series for bartenders during the lockdown period.
Launching on June 4, the four-part series – which will be held every Thursday in June at 5pm on the Monin Facebook page – will be led by alcohol consultants Kenji Jesse and Dan Fellows who will share alcoholic and no-alcohol drinks recipes and discuss flavours, textures, blends and balance.
The first session will cover drinks recipes inspired by Mexico, Peru and Brazil; the second will discuss the infusion of coffee in cocktails; drinks recipes from London, the US, Tahiti and Germany will feature in the third session; and the final session will focus on the creation of alcoholic milkshakes.
Lee Hyde, beverage innovation manager at Monin, said: “Change has always been a constant in our industry, and that’s the case now more than ever for the wrong reasons. So Monin’s masterclass series is about providing support, guidance and skills to bartenders and baristas during this challenging time for the industry. We want to encourage baristas and bartenders to use this time to continue to further embrace their creativity and build their skills at home, whilst benefiting from market leading trends and thinking.”
