A TEN-hour online music event will take place this weekend to raise funds for Hospitality Health and the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH).
Kicking off at midday on Saturday (May 23) on the Colours and Radisson Red Facebook pages, the Colours House Party will live stream a selection of Scottish DJs from the Radisson Red Hotel in Glasgow to highlight Mental Health Awareness Week; DJs from other parts of the UK will also join in on the live feed from across the country alongside Scottish author Irvine Welsh.
Graham Chalmers from Radisson Red Glasgow said: “We’re really excited to be involved with such a worthwhile project. The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees comes above everything else, and we’re thrilled to play a part in raising awareness of Mental Health Awareness Week and raising funds for these invaluable causes.”
Gordon McIntyre, founder of industry charity Hospitality Health, said: “What a tremendous idea to have a music event supporting mental health during this Mental Health Awareness Week. Music is such an important part of the wide hospitality industry and it is such a supportive mechanism in people’s wellbeing. We are delighted that Colours and Glasgow Radisson Red have chosen us, as one of the charities for this live stream.”
Donations for the mental health charities can be made during the live event on Saturday through the Colours House Party Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/colours1
