THE team behind Islay single malt Smokehead is set to stream the first in a series of “bold broadcasts” on Instagram this weekend.
Launching at 5pm on Sunday (April 12), Smokehead TV will be hosted by brand ambassador Mikey Sim and custom Ducati aficionado Tyler Lunceford, who joined forces with Smokehead last year to create a customised motorbike.
The Instagram Live stream (@smokeheadwhisky) will feature a tasting of the original Smokehead expression, as well as demonstrations on how to make a whisky sour and boilermaker serve.
Over the coming weeks, the team at Smokehead, which is part of Ian Macleod Distillers’ portfolio, will be presenting further tastings, cocktail making sessions, music, interview and giveaways.
Iain Weir, Smokehead brand director, said: “In these uncertain times, we’re very pleased that we can still engage with our loyal Smokehead tribe. Both Mikey and Tyler personify the Smokehead brand, with Sunday sure to be a wild and entertaining ride.
“Our whisky is not for everyone, but that’s okay. We’re encouraging our Smokeheads to tune in this Sunday at 5pm, relax and enjoy our bold single malt whisky.”
The company has pledged to donate £1 for each bottle of Smokehead purchased to the Drinks Trust hospitality charity.
