EDINBURGH Gin will help people create the perfect serve at home through a new online service, by transforming household ingredients into cocktail recipes.
Starting from today (April 8), the gin brand is asking individuals over the next three weeks to share ingredients found around their homes, which will then be turned into cocktail recipes by a mixologist.
Every week recipes will be sent to fifty people, with the five best recipes featuring in a step-by-step video on the brand’s Facebook and Instagram pages every Friday.
Ingredient suggestions should be posted by users on Edinburgh Gin’s Facebook and Instagram pages using the hashtag #CupboardCocktail.
Neil Boyd, managing director of the Ian Macleod Distillers-owned brand, said: “Edinburgh Gin was born from a love of flavour so we wanted to help people explore different tastes and ingredients, easily found at home, to create delicious drinks.
“Made especially for those who take part, the recipes also allow us to celebrate the wonder of bartenders. We’re looking forward to our mixologist adding their magic to ordinary kitchen items.”
Edinburgh Gin will also donate ÂŁ1 from every purchase made on its website to The Drinks Trust charity which provides support to employees of the drinks industry.
