IAN Macleod Distillers is launching a new podcast which aims to both entertain and educate listeners on the whisky industry.
The first episode of Whisky Unscripted goes live on Wednesday (April 8) at midday and will be hosted by global brand ambassador Gordan Dundas and experiential ambassador Gordon Dallas.
The hosts will interview a selection of guests throughout the podcast series, including the makers of whisky brands Glengoyne and Tamdhu, writers and personalities from around the world.
Listeners will be able to submit questions for the presenters through the Glengoyne and Tamdhu social media pages, which will then be answered throughout the course of the episodes.
A spokesperson from Ian Macleod Distillers said through the family-owned distiller, blender and bottler’s ownership of the Glengoyne, Tamdhu and Rosebank distilleries, the business is “uniquely placed to offer real insight into the world of whisky”.
Tamdhu distillery will also organise an online whisky tasting session with distillery manager Sandy MacIntyre and brand ambassador Gordon Dundas on April 14 at 7pm.
The tasting, which will be shown on the Tamdhu’s Facebook page, will feature four of the brand’s whiskies: Tamdhu’s 12 and 15 year old expressions; Batch Strength 004; and its Distillery Manager’s Single Cask. Gordon Dundas will also present an expert’s guide to ‘sherry bombs’ for viewers.
Ian Macleod Distillers will donate £1 from each bottle sold on its distillery websites to industry charity, Drinks Trust, which supports employees in the drinks and hospitality industries.
