COLD Town House, the Edinburgh bar opened last year by Signature Pub Group, will be toasting its first anniversary with a pint of limited-edition, birthday cake-inspired craft beer.
The venue, which is also the home of the company’s Cold Town Beer with an on-site brewery, will launch its Rasp-beery Birthday Cake stout on March 6 ahead of its birthday celebrations on March 7.
Located in the former Robertson Memorial Church, Cold Town House will also mark the event with a three-foot tall birthday cake baked in the shape of the building, which will be cut by the Edinburgh Rugby squad.
Jamie Napier, general manager of Cold Town House, said: “On Saturday 7th March we will be raising a pint of our limited-edition Rasp-beery Birthday Cake Stout to one year.
“The special brew is sweet and creamy and unique compared to anything we’ve created before. The sumptuous maltiness is matched with jammy raspberry, notes of fresh vanilla and rounded off with a white chocolate coating, everything you’d expect from a perfect birthday cake!”
A beer experience has also been launched by the Grassmarket bar to give visitors the chance to experience how Cold Town Beer is brewed and enjoy a tasting session; a pint pouring lesson and pizza made with the company’s house beer is also included in the package.
Vouchers for the Cold Town Beer Experience are available to buy on the Cold Town House website.Â
