Edinburgh Gin makes TV debut


EDINBURGH Gin is to make its TV debut as part of the largest scale advertising campaign for the brand to date.

The ‘Filled with Wonder’ campaign first aired on Channel 4 during the ad break of First Dates on Tuesday (December 3) and featured a special animated branded introduction.

The ad was also projected against Edinburgh venue, The Dome, at 6pm, ahead of the TV appearance.

The “dreamlike” advert is set to the Frankie Valli song, The Night, and promotes the use of natural flavours in Edinburgh Gin’s Rhubard & Ginger gin. The 40-second long advert also invites consumers to uncover the rest of the range.

Neil Mowat, marketing director at Ian Macleod Distillers, which owns the gin brand, said: “We know how to make it (gin) brilliantly, no shortcuts, no exceptions. That means not only taking great care in what we do but also great joy too. So, beyond the very best distillation, we always add creativity and original thinking to the mix. Inventiveness is essential to Edinburgh Gin – and that’s the story our new campaign sets out to tell.
