The pass will allow operators to show 20 live English Premier League games throughout December

LICENSEES wishing to show more live football over the festive period are now able to purchase the first ever Amazon Premier League Pass via BT Sport.

The pass will enable operators to show 20 exclusive Premier League games live throughout December, showing every game from two rounds of fixtures, including the first midweek round in December and the Boxing Day clashes for the first time.

The first round of games, which will take place on Tuesday December 3 to Thursday December 5, includes the first Merseyside derby of the season live from Anfield and Tottenham’s trip to Old Trafford as José Mourinho’s side take on his former club Manchester United.

The Boxing Day round of fixtures, played over the December 26 and 27, sees champions Manchester City travel to Wolves, while the Blues’ city rivals Manchester United face Newcastle United at home and Liverpool take on Brendan Rodgers’ flying Leicester City side.

The pass is priced at £315 for pubs with a rateable value of between £8000-15000, while existing BT Sport customers will be eligible for a 20% discount and have the option to spread the cost over six monthly instalments.

Those purchasing the pass will also receive free point of sale materials – including posters, window stickers and digital assets – to help them promote the fixtures.

Bruce Cuthbert, director commercial customers at BT Sport, said: “We are excited to bring such a fantastic line up of game to pubs and clubs over the festive period.

“For the first time ever, Boxing Day will see no fewer than nine games broadcast with the first game kicking off at 12.30 and the last, which sees European champions Liverpool travel to Leicester, scheduled for 8pm.

“Licensees will be able to choose which games to show to their customers, and for those with multiple screens and the right set up, they will be able to offer a bigger choice with a massive six games kicking off at 3pm.”
