THERE has been a changing of the guard at Speyside distillery Glen Moray following the appointment of Dr Kirstie McCallum as head of whisky creation.
McCallum joins the distillery, which is owned by French drinks business La Martiniquaise-Bardinet, from Distell, where she was responsible for the Bunnahabhain, Deanston and Tobermory whiskies.
She succeeds former Glen Moray master distiller Graham Coull, who was with the distillery for 14 years.
In addition to Glen Moray, McCallum will also be responsible for the Cutty Sark, Label 5 and Sir Edward’s blends, which are also owned by La Martiniquaise-Bardinet.
