A South American flavour in Scotland

Arumdu rum liqueursPARAGON Brands, the drinks importer and distributor, is bringing some South American style to Scottish bars this Christmas with the launch of a new rum liqueur brand.

The Arumdu range was developed by blending Guyana rum from the Demerara Diamond Distillery with a range of natural extracts and essences.

There are four flavours: Butter Salted Popcorn; Caramelised Banana; Spit Roasted Pineapple; and Rum Bongo Punch. All four have an ABV of 28%.

“We are really excited to bring Arumdu to the UK market at a time when consumers are looking for innovation from the rum category,” said Paragon director, Chris Jones.

“We know from the explosion in flavoured gin that UK consumers continue to seek new experiences from their drinks, which we hope to bring to them with Arumdu, a quality rum with an engaging flavour lineup.”

Paragon is promoting a number of suggested serves for the range, which include mixers (ginger ale for the Butter Salted Popcorn; Sprite for Caramelised Banana; Rubicon Mango for Spit Roasted Pineapple and Lilt for Rum Bongo Punch) and cocktails.

Cocktail serves include Old Fashioned at the Movies (pictured), which pairs the Arumdu Butter Salted Popcorn liqueur with Angostura bitters and William Fox Salted Caramel syrup.
