THE Pornstar Martini is still the nation’s favourite cocktail, according to the company behind cocktail mixer brand Funkin.
Citing CGA data, the AG Barr-owned brand said the passionfruit-flavoured serve has benefitted from a 14% sales uplift over the past year, while the Mojito held its number two position.
Both the classic Pina Colada and the Espresso Martini are also in demand, according to Funkin, which stated that both have benefitted from a sales boost.
The figures also revealed that the UK cocktail market has surpassed £600 million in sales for the first time.
Ben Anderson, marketing director at Funkin Cocktails, said: “The popularity of cocktails in the UK continues to grow and shows no sign of waning, with the market currently growing by 10% year on year – and the number of consumers drinking cocktails has increased by almost 10% year on year too.”
Anderson added that classic cocktails “are the key to driving customer footfall and maximising sales”.
