A new owner could well be inn

Chance to take on successful rural business

The Well Country InnA VILLAGE inn which has been operated by the same owners for the past 15 years is for sale via Cornerstone Business Agents.

The Well Country Inn, in Scotlandwell – a village located on the Fife and Perthshire border – is said to be “one of the best examples of an English-style village inn located in Scotland”.

The property comprises a 40-cover restaurant, 25-cover lounge bar, breakfast room, separate public bar, as well as nine en suite letting bedrooms, six of which are located in a detached property to the rear of the main building.

It also includes a car park which has capacity for up to 30 vehicles.

The business trades well from rooms, food and public and lounge bars.

Current owners Ronnie and Tanya Loftus – who relocated from Liverpool to Scotlandwell in 2004 to purchase the property – utilise space on the first floor as owner’s accommodation, which comprises a lounge, kitchen and two bedrooms.

Barry McNeil, a director at Cornerstone Business Agents, said: “The business trades well from rooms, food and public and lounge bars. The business also comes complete with nine letting bedrooms, as well as owner’s accommodation.

“The business trades very well and it is thought that new owners will be able to capitalise on Ronnie and Tanya Loftus’s solid tenure – and enhance the business further with a more solid push of the letting bedrooms, as well as harnessing social media marketing.”

Cornerstone Business Agents is seeking offers over £400,000 for the freehold.
