BARTENDERS descended on the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh to attend the recent Jigger Beaker Glass 3.0 workshop from Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands.
Focusing on the theme of hospitality and featuring guest host Paul Johnson – who has worked in various London hotels and restaurants, including Chiltern Firehouse and Annabel’s – the masterclass aimed to educate attendees in how to “create a flawless guest journey”, with tips offered on developing interpersonal skills, conversational empathy and professionalism.
With an all-new format, the masterclass was split across three rooms: the Jigger room explored skill and theory behind the topic; the Beaker room aimed to offer “a unique perspective” on hospitality; and the Glass room looked at drinks.
Shervene Shahbazkhani, head of brand advocacy for the UK at Bacardi Brown-Forman, said the aim of the masterclasses is “to challenge individuals and bar teams to keep learning and applying new skills to their approach”.
The Jigger Beaker Glass 3.0 team will return to Scotland later this year to deliver a workshop in Glasgow on November 19, which will focus on creativity.
