THE past, present and future of the on-trade will be the theme at this year’s Best Bar None Glasgow conference.

Taking place at the city’s Radisson Blu Hotel on Argyle Street on Wednesday August 28, the day-long event aims to share and promote the social responsibility initiatives and good practice taking place within Glasgow’s licensed trade.

Last held in 2017, the conference will examine the differences in how licensed premises operated ten and 20 years ago, discuss the current challenges faced by the city’s on-trade in the current economy as well as ways to ensure the city’s hospitality industry remains vibrant with a diverse choice of venues in the coming years. There will be a number of guest speakers sharing their experiences and knowledge on the topics.

The conference, which will last from 9.30am until 4pm, will also include a series of on-trade specific workshops, a networking lunch and a marketplace event with Best Bar None sponsors and partners where delegates will get the chance to sample goods and see demonstrations from trade professionals and producers.
