Liverpool face Norwich in the first Premier League game of the season

SKY Sports has released its latest raft of top-flight football fixtures for the coming weeks as the domestic season gets up and running north and south of the border.

The Premier League kicks off on Friday August 9 when Liverpool take on Norwich at 8pm on Sky Sports Premier League followed by Saturday’s Spurs v Aston Villa clash at 5.30pm. Saturday August 10 also sees Motherwell face Celtic in the second week of Scottish Premiership action. And it’s only a matter of weeks until the Old Firm meet on Sunday September 1 for a 12noon kick-off.

Sky Sports, which will broadcast 128 Premier League games this year, has also released its fixtures for October, which include a showdown between old rivals Manchester United and Liverpool on Saturday October 19 and Liverpool v Spurs on October 27 when the Tottenham side will be looking for a win after their Champions League final defeat.

A spokeswoman for Sky Sports advised licensees to take advantage of the broadcaster’s online marketing tools, including customisable posters and marketing images which can be shared on social media, to promote the fixtures.
