THE former head chef to the Prince of Wales, Gary Robinson, has been appointed executive chef at The Balmoral in Edinburgh.
Scotland-born Robinson has held various senior positions in restaurants around the world over the past 25 years and spent five years overseeing the Conde Nast International Restaurants portfolio.
The chef said he is looking forward to working with Scotland’s natural larder, and with the hotel’s “talented team and experts in Scotland to do the ingredients justice on the plate”.
