A WHISKY distillery with a focus on producing organic Scotch sustainably is giving malt lovers the chance to own one of its first barrels.
Ncn’ean in Drimnin, Movern, on Scotland’s west coast produces Highland whisky with organic barley, while all of the distillery’s energy comes from renewable sources with all waste heat and left-over grain being reused.
The distillery, which was masterminded by the late whisky industry veteran, Dr Jim Swan, is offering 60 barrels of new make spirit at 63% ABV in either ex-bourbon or ex-wine casks.
