New cider comes into bloom

Magners-Rose

A new cider variant, Magners Rosé, has blossomed in the on-trade in time for summer.

Inspired by the success of pink gin and rosé wine, as well as the popularity of rosé cider in other parts of the world, such as America – where it is said to account for 13% of all cider sales – the new Magners variant is described as the ideal choice “for brunching, lunching and casual dining”.

Available to the on-trade in 330ml bottle format, the 4% ABV cider is accompanied by new stemless glassware; the suggested serve is over ice with a sliced apple garnish.

To support its launch, 500 point of sale kits, including bar runners, table talkers, bar struts and apple pompoms, will be available across Scotland.

And it will be supported by a PR, social and advertising campaign.

Conor McCann of Magners UK reckons Magners Rosé “will certainly pique the interest of consumers across Scotland”.
