THE owners of Peterculter pub The Ploughman recently reopened its bar following a five-figure refurbishment.

The pub’s 60-capacity bar is said to have been modernised and upgraded with the addition of a state-of-the-art 4k TV system, “while still retaining its traditional Scottish feel”. The refurb has been accompanied by a new bar and wine menu too.

Stuart Cruickshank, who took over the pub at the turn of the year with former oil executive Alistair Dornan, said: “We’re delighted with the new look. We promised to invest in the business and that’s what we’re doing.”
