A RESTAURANT manager with experience in some of the world’s most prestigious dining establishments has returned to Scotland for a senior position at Gleneagles.

Daniel Greenock, originally from Killearn, has worked at the three Michelin star Eleven Madison Park in New York as well as Marcus Wareing’s Michelin-starred restaurant at the Berkeley Hotel in London.

This month he was named the new restaurant manager at Gleneagles’ fine dining restaurant, The Strathearn.

Greenock said he was “extremely proud” to be taking on the role at The Strathearn, which has just reopened after an extensive refurbishment that took inspiration from fine dining in the 1920s and ’30s.

He said guests at The Strathearn will enjoy “elegant décor, history, a lively atmosphere, culinary theatre and exceptional food”.

As restaurant manager, he heads a team of 80 at The Strathearn.
