MICHELIN Star chef Jeff Bland has been awarded hospitality industry charity HIT Scotland’s Industry Award.
Bland, who is executive chef at The Balmoral in Edinburgh, is said to have pursued a career as a chef after his mother told a careers advisor that he made delicious scrambled eggs. He has gone on to work at some of Scotland’s top hotels, including Gleneagles, Cameron House and The Balmoral, which he joined in 1997.
David Cochrane, HIT Scotland chief executive, said: “We are delighted that Jeff is our industry winner, especially in our 25th year.
“Jeff’s belief in people development is very much aligned to our values about empowering inspirational development.”
