An SLTN award-winning bar in St Andrews has reopened following a design refresh
The Adamson, on the town’s South Street, has been transformed into “a lighter and brighter” venue through the use of a new colour scheme and a feature entrance wall in the cocktail bar.
Managing director Julie Lewis employed design duo Xanthe Weir and Rachel Richmond from Décor Air in Edinburgh to redesign the bar and restaurant. The new-look restaurant also features lights by Spanish designer Arturo Alvarez.
The refreshed venue has opened with a new A La Carte, Market and Bar menu, showcasing “the best of local and seasonal products, together with an exciting cocktail offering”.
The Adamson was crowned Boutique Bar of the Year in association with Grey Goose at the 2018 SLTN Awards last November; it was also named Best Restaurant of the Year (Casual Dining) at the 2016 SLTN Awards.
Lewis said: “We were closed for three weeks and have transformed the space to be less formal, with a more relaxed and cool vibe.
“The Adamson has been open for eight years and now with new lighting, furnishings and décor, initial reactions from guests have been very positive.”
