Drinks firm sees the light

The new drinks are less than 0.5% ABV

DIAGEO-owned gin Gordon’s has moved into the low-alcohol category with two new sparkling gin and tonic flavoured drinks.

Gordon’s Ultra Low Alcohol G&T is available in two variants – Hint of Lime and Hint of Grapefruit – both of which are made with the brand’s London Dry gin and carry an ABV of less than 0.5% with 68 calories in each 250ml glass bottle.

Diageo’s Hywel Evans said: “Gordon’s Ultra Low Alcohol G&T provides a unique spirit-based drink which utilises our meticulously perfected distillant techniques to ensure the final product does not compromise on taste or quality.

“With the category in growth, we are confident that this premium low-alcohol offering will provide a great sales opportunity for licensees, particularly when many consumers are looking for low and no alternatives.”
