BEEF and lamb from a Dornoch farm is to take centre stage in an eatery in the town after the farming family snapped up the venue.
Tommy and Audrey Mackay, who run their farm at Achavandra Muir and Dornoch Farm Butchers, have, together with their chef son Kenny, bought the Coach House Bar & Restaurant after securing a six-figure funding package from Bank of Scotland.
They plan to refurbish the venue and introduce a menu majoring in beef and lamb reared on the family farm.
Tommy said the Coach House will offer a “real field to fork experience”.
“We decided to purchase the premises and use the skills and experience we have as a family to capitalise on the growing Scottish tourism market,” he said.
