SCOTTISH hoteliers have a “fundamental role” to play in promoting Scotland internationally, according to a Highland operator.
Caroline Gregory, who has run the Lovat Loch Ness hotel in Fort Augustus for 14 years and works with Highlands and Islands Enterprise to promote the industry overseas, said businesses have a responsibility to provide tourists with the highest standards of service, food and drink during their stay.
She said: “A quality service should be the backbone of what we as an industry strive to provide to all our customers.
“We need to have people leaving our establishments raving about what a great time they have had and already planning to return.”
