IT was all smiles at Boclair House Hotel in Bearsden as the venue’s Christmas lights were switched on.
Members of the local community were joined by two local heroes – eight year old Alex Hughes, who was diagnosed with a rare disease called juvenile dermatomyositis at the age of four, and Celine Mall, a local mother who entertains kids at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow every week as Tickles the Clown.
As well as the Christmas tree lights switch-on, the event saw hotel staff sell home baking in aid of local charity The Saturday Café, which helps children and young people with disabilities.
Andrew McIvor, GM of Boclair House, which is owned by Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group, said he was “delighted to see so many people come together and have a great time”.
