DEMAND for hotel property on Scotland’s west coast is said to be on the up, according to Cornerstone Business Agents, which recently handled the sale of a hotel in Oban.

The Rockport Hotel, on Tweedale Street, is within walking distance of various Oban landmarks, such as McCaig’s Tower and Dunollie Castle as well as Oban Distillery; the hotel comprises eight letting bedrooms, the Boathouse Restaurant and a large beer garden.

The business was placed on the market with a guide price of £320,000; the final sales price was not disclosed.

It follows the sale of various other hotels on the west coast via Cornerstone Business Agents, including the Kames Hotel in Tighnabruaich and the Royal Hotel in Stranraer.
